Pueblo Bonito Rose

Hotel Information: Pueblo Bonito Rose attracts a younger clientele appreciative of poolside music while its smaller, neighboring partner resort, Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Blanco, features Greek Mediterranean design and tranquility. Children and adults enjoy the central gardens' white and black swans, flamboyant African cranes, koi ponds, and aviaries. A small marble lobby features antiques and 17th-century Flemish tapestries.

Amenity highlights: Expansive gardens convey the formal spirit of Italian Riviera design, with Roman-emperor busts, Mediterranean palm trees, and Florentine columns, while beach-towel and water-activities cupolas surround a 61-meter-long (200-ft), ornately shaped pool with two toddlers' sections at one end. Cabanas provide shade around the pool and along the resort's frontage on Médano Beach, which offers calm-water swimming in most weather conditions.

Insider tip: From late morning to late night, the resort provides complimentary shuttle service to a third partner resort, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, which is located on the Baja Peninsula's Pacific Ocean side. Guests enjoy access to that resort's pools and facilities and signing privileges for dining and other services. Access and signing privileges are also available at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Blanco, which is adjacent to this resort.

The Pueblo Bonito Rose offers 260 guest suites in a six-story, pale-pink building flanking a central garden. Italianate in style, suites feature balconies or ground-floor patios furnished with cushioned chairs and providing garden views or partial views of the Sea of Cortez. Fully equipped kitchenettes include two-burner cooktops, microwave ovens, compact refrigerators, coffeemakers, toasters, and blenders. Televisions offer pay movies and video-game consoles. Dial-up Internet access is available for a weekly surcharge.

Beds feature pillowtop mattresses cushioned by featherbeds. Set off by columns, separate sitting areas include tables and upholstered chairs. Decor includes beige walls, white ceilings, stone-arch headboards, terra-cotta tile floors, and live plants. Bathrooms contain red-marble vanities and large stall showers (no tubs). Ceiling fans provide a cooling alternative to suites' air conditioning.

Suites are offered in Room-Only plan, which includes room accommodations only.
